I don't think so. With Utah tomorrow, and the suns whom we own after the lakers game, I don't think the lakers game will be much more then a bench war. Pop isn't going to play his starters a lot knowing he has the suns the next night. No point in pushing to hard to beat the lakers like that.

Yeah, the Spurs are coasting down the stretch which is obvious to pretty much anyone that follows basketball any more closely than just the win-loss standings.
I'm really looking forward to the playoffs (after the first round.) this year.

listening to pop, reading articles an it seems to me every game they are focusing on one thing, the 3 ball, defense, specialized defense, passing what ever. after the kings game he was asked about how well the offense was running and he said "i didnt pay any attention to the offense, we focused on defense and stopping........" i believe he said penetration, but pick and roll is sticking in my head.
the only 1st round matchup i am looking forward to is the thunder/nuggets. i expect the hornets to fall to the 8 spot only to be slaughtered by the spurs in 5 tops. i think the griz will beat up the lakers but the lakers win in 6. portland and dallas will go 6 also and portland could win that one. but i would not even venture a guess on the denver/okc matchup.

If i read right, Spurs vs Grizz first round. This is gonna be closer than most people may think.
How many home games sold out this season? It has to be a lot more than last.
Without looking, I thought that even with the bad economy that the Spurs would have some sort of insane streak of home sell-outs. Or, at the very least they sell out 95%+ of their games every season for the past 10+ years.
dont know about sold out games but espn has the spurs at a 98.6% attendance this year, up from 97.4% last year. still down from 2008 when it was they where 100.3%
Looks like every game except one from December 18 (vs. Memphis) through Saturday sold out. For some reason Golden State on March 21 failed to attract enough interest to sell every ticket. 30 out of 41 isn't bad.
