What's crazy is this never even made the news at the time, until the video finally "showed up" the past few days.

I think this is also a factor in the lack of creating another transit authority for East west rail. The mbta cannot run it but how could a new authority be authorized when the current is in such a mess. Think of all the employees that would leave the mbta for it.
