It's barely news anymore?

Yep, it could be a survey nowadays as to which subway/trolley line or commuter rail line or station will make the local news next...will it be sparks, a fire, derailment no air conditioning, a rear-end collision, flooding, falling debris, someone jumping or pushed...

Thankfully, at least we don't seem to have the rate of stabbings, robberies and shootings that NYC has regularly.

New MBTA GM hires 4 heavy hitter assistants from NY at a combined cost of $800K. Let's hope they are worth it.

North Quincy outdoor platform last week had leaks from the ceiling wetting the platform. I don't think that's the first time I've seen that there. Almost certain it's been a problem off and on there or elsewhere on the platform in recent years.

Can't recall if orange cones were there or it was simply left to drip drip drip.

And near a station exit last week there, minor water covered the floor near an exit, then got worse the next nightz then covering 75% of the path to the exit. It's okay now.

We just hear about the major stuff, not what I just noted in North Quincy! Likely most stations with such "minor" stuff over the course of the year but not making the news.

A glass panel at the Ashmont Trolly stop has been replaced with a graffiti-covered would board for over a decade. I took he torlly during my visit in June and was disappointed it was the same piece of wood from when I was 17.
