Still kinda pulling for UAE though.

OP doesn't write like a Frenchman, nor Italian.

Maybe a Czech?

Actually, this is kinda fun.

If I am to believe the OP, my bet is on Turkey. They consider themselves part of Europe.

But I don't. I'm going with Iran, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, India....in that order.

Oh also I voted for Newport Beach, but Los Altos Hills is pretty good too.

Surprised Newport Beach is beating Manhattan Beach. Is OC better than LA? That's what it boils down to.

I wouldn't live in Piedmont because you can get much better weather, especially pool weather, just the other side of the hills in Lafayette/Orinda/WC/Alamo/Danville. I'd also probably choose La Jolla over Solana Beach.

Around LA, the beach means obnoxious wealth or homeless. Silver Lake might actually be my first choice. Would like something to walk to, not a fan of being gated in.

Yep, slam dunk, based on the OP's obsession with "affluence." Almost makes me wonder if the OP has much more sinister ideas. The places named would make wonderful targets for a terrorist...

Agreed on all three counts. Although Silver Lake isn't particularly posh, so someplace like Hancock Park might make more sense.
