but since NCMF is a private venue doesnt involve city streets like it does
at Gateway they will be there they have every year since it was at
Marshall Park. They can be arrested if they try their previous tactics
by trying to mingle in.
The peacekeepers at last year's event did a GREAT job of keeping protesters away from the main areas; they were there, but mostly outside. Any time a protester engaged someone in conversation, a peacekeeper would be there, making sure it stayed civil.
These kooks were driving their very decorated autos slowly during rush hour on 277. Way to enrage people trying to get to work while you're blocking the only way to the exit lane. JERKS!
Clearly there is a whole lot of mis-information going on here. Why not try talking to someone in the Operation Save America/ pro-life crowd and get some reliable info instead of believing everything you hear? I've been actively demonstrating with my family at the abortion mills for a while now. You've really got some interesting ideas on who and what I am. I'd like to challenge their accuracy, that is, if you are interested.
We know what you are, you are someone who cannot do unto others as you would have them do unto you. You want others to respect your opinion; however, you cannot give others the same respect.
Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. There is only one Lawgiver & Judge - the one who is able to save & destroy. But you - who are you to judge your neighbor?" (James 4:11-12)
Excellent! I couldn't think of where to find it so thank you!
So I couldn't help myself, I finally went outside today to see the protesters (I work at Trade and Tryon). The images were a little disturbing if you focused on them, but easy to ignore. The most annoying part is hearing them scream jibberish into a megaphone. it would be funny if someone were to form another protest across the street mocking their protest.
Hey Fireflychik, I work at Trade/Tryon too but I've been chained to my desk and didn't get the opportunity to 'enjoy' them. Was the older gentleman who preaches on the corners and talks w/the officers out there?
If they come back, my son and his college buddies want to organize a counter demonstration. I walked in to hear one of them suggest cans of 'fart spray' as a deterrent. LMAO! A sidewalk drag show would be a great way to take attention away from them too
I've been wondering if when they return that they couldn't be incorporated into Pride as an exhibit about how intolerance works & how important it is to see beyond it.
LMAO like Pride would approve them to set up an exhibit.
Pride is about equality something they are against.
Well not approve them to set themselves up to be disruptive, more like telling folks about what it was like in the early days & saying if you look out this window you can see an example of intolerance...
