Its very funny/hypocritical to find many people on this site have no problem posting "pro religious threads" and throw around how great their religion is, but when you have something as controversial as this, they are no where to be found to find their views.........very interesting.....
Where are all those people who defended that "christ for construction" company thread we had a couple months ago? Many people had NO problem chiming in on that conversation....

Are they ashamed/afraid to defend these people?
I just find it VERY interesting....lol
Jack, this thread might have taken a very different turn if I had not posted. I think it's amusing that 2 of them tried to call me a liar, when everything that I posted, with the exception of being pushed is easily documented & verified online. They never would have dreamed that there would be someone in this area that knew about that clinic in Cherry Hill. It aparently never occurred to them that people with children, in Charlotte, would be just as unhappy with their posters as people in the Delaware Valley.
I could have posted (& documented) more, but that would have been overkill.
My mother had a term for certain self-rightous people who use religion to advance an agenda. She used to say that they were hiding behind the skirts of the church.
The day that I called WCNC they ran a report that included mention that a man from this group was arrested at a clinic. I'd bet good money that he was not arrrested for greeting women with a bouquet of flowers & saying Have a nice day, ladies.

I think that some folks who find it okay to see simple statements about religion on a sign (Jesus Saves) do not find it okay to be assaultive with bloody images of aborted fetuses and people who are screaming in-yer-face type ugly statements about groups of people (i.e. gay/lesbian assaults).
It is a matter of being assaultive on the passer-by and attacking particular groups of people.
For ex., if someone is protesting the war in Iraq, no one is gonna say much about it b/c we have the right to assembly and the right to free speech. But when Fred Phelps' group shows up at funerals with placards saying such like - "Jesus hates ****" . . . or someone burns a flag at these protests, then I believe the same folks who are not bothered by "Jesus Saves" would feel "Jesus hates ****" is hate language and unacceptable.
I could be wrong, but that is what I have observed.

That's pretty much how I see it, Ani. Also, when I posted the loooooooong history of these folks it puts a different light on the whole ugly mess.

Well, we'll never know unless they post and tell us their feelings on this...
again, just find it very funny that we had a million posts on that sign or other relgious things, but you hear crickets on this...
why? let the strong religious crowd answer this and tell us.....
It just struck me . . . are you thinking what you refer to as "the strong religious crowd" AGREE with the messages and methods that OSA is using?
I think its obvious that they do because again they are ashamed and would be embarassed by the reaction (of people who are levelheaded) if they admitted it.....
Again, there were a million posts on the "jesus saves" sign and the "christ for construction" threads, but you can hear crickets here......
I know whats right and wrong, but you go way over the limits when I have to explain to my young son what those pictures mean when I drive by it.....
Now you know why some people get fed up w/the hypocrisy sometimes.....

I had not thought of this, that folks aren't posting cause they approve of the OSA's tactics.
