Here is a fun exercise to come up with the top sins according to American Christians, not the boring ones like murder and stealing, no one cares about those, I mean the real bad ones, the ones that get the extremists all in a huff.

Here are a few that I have noticed.

1. Homosexulality. It seems like you can't do worse then that one.

2. Girls in low cut tops and mini-skirts.

3. Rock music

4. R Rated movies

5. Dancing

6. Voting Democrat

Any others?

Hee-hee-hee!

Don't forget gambling.

My old church taught these strange ones below:
Up to when I left --
Women in slacks.
Either gender wearing jewelry

Up to the 1980s
Women not wearing nylons

Up to the 1970s --
Women cutting their hair
Women wearing makeup
Women wearing Granny Dresses

Up to the '60s
Either gender showing their elbows
Women showing their knees

Up to @ 1955
Women not wearing hats
Women not wearing seamed nylons

Up to the '40s
Women wearing shoes that showed their toes

And they taught, up to @ 2000 -- horror of horrors! -- women showing their clavicles!

Isn't it cool how G-d didn't think of all this stuff, so we can improve upon His salvation by rewriting it???

The Southern Baptist credo is against alcohol--and they even oppose their members going into bars and NOT drinking.

Sounds like my old Christian High School. I was told my black pointed tip shoes were "Un-Christian", it was fun telling them my Baptist Minister grandfather gave them to me.

Oh! And I forgot! Up to sometime in the late '40s, it was a sin, in that church, to get married! This one amazes me to this day! Today, they just hope people will get married -- to an opposite gender!

And there was an earlier period when it was a SIN TO WEAR A BRA in that church!

.

Sin = transgression of God's Law.

The big four... all of which are capital crimes [sins] under God's Law.

Blasphemy

Murder

Homosexuality

Adultery

Swearing, premarital sex. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents!
