If you sincerely listen and query your heart and do not be led by the dictates that the "precepts and doctrines of men" and religious dogma impose on the understanding of scriptures.
The Scribes and Pharisees believed the word of God, well they thought they did. They even had these cool looking black leather boxes which contained Scrolls of scripture in them strapped on their foreheads .
By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host. Psalm 33:6
I don't think that this Psalmic reference to Genesis 1 is talking about "written words". God spoke to create in the 1st Creative Account in Genesis - he did not write words down to create. Obviously, when one portrays speaking, one pictures breathing along with it. From verse 1:
Exult, you just, in Yahweh,
in lauding, O upright, the Glorious One!
Praise Yahweh with the harp,
on the ten-stringed lyre play to him.
Sing to him a song that is new,
play sweetly with sounds of gladness.
For the word of Yahweh is direct,
and every work of his is truth itself.
He loves what is just and right,
of Yahweh's kindness the earth is full.
By the word of Yahweh
were the heavens made,
And by the breath of his mouth
all their host.
He gathers into a jar
the waters of the sea,
He puts the deeps into storehouses.
Let all the earth fear Yahweh,
all the world's inhabitants revere him.
For he spoke and it was,
he commanded and it stood forth.
(Psalm 33:1-9, AB)
The context clearly shows that it refers to Creation via the spoken word, as in Genesis 1.
[Verse 6's allusion to "all their host" brings up interesting military terminology: the stars as warriors (though not relevant to the current conversation).]
"precepts and doctrines of men"
You mean, like you?
Don't be coy, jimmie. Can you honestly tell me that deep in your heart of hearts you consider the many heinous and evil things attributed to God in the OT to be good and true because God did them? They do NOT offend your heart and sense of decency, morality, kindness and love? If you say that you can and they do not offend your heart . . . I would be very incredulous . . . and be very sad for the state of your Spirit.
Because the inspirations are not in written form within our consciousness and must be translated to verbal form that uses the existing human knowledge and understanding of the receiver to interpret. Our ignorant ancient ancestors had very little knowledge, a slew of superstitious beliefs about God and cultural tribal traditions that tainted the recording of the inspirations they received into language.

Just another attempt of taking verses out of context to fit one's belief.
