I have also expressed my own struggles with same sex attraction and have resisted such temptation my entire life. It has gotten easier as I get older, but something that trully helped me was my family relationships. I was very close to my father and my wife helped me alot.
I figured you must be gay from the way you're so vehementely against gay issues.
So sinse you have condemned yourself to hell, you are willing to condemn your children as well. You are very hateful if this is your stance and you have the nerve to judge your parents.

My parents are consumed by the ignorance of Christian fundamentalism. I don't judge them - they're simple people. I just don't need their ignorance in my life, and I'm not willing to sacrifice my life and pretend to be something I'm not just to please their ignorance. Christian fundamentalism is a tragedy in the country that needs to be addressed. I suppose better education would be a good start.
denverian, I hope that you realize there are a lot of us heterosexual Christians who not only will NOT condemn you and your lifestyle (choice really isn't applicable, is it?) but will pray that you find the partner of your dreams and live a full and happy life. Why God allows diversity of this type is beyond my understanding, but I accept the fact that a persons sexuality is not under his control. And in recognizing my own limitations I understand that you should have all the rights I do and should be allowed to pursue your happiness to the fullest. I wish you the very best life has to offer.

I seriously think you need to post elsewhere. Satan is the adversary of God and not the author of the OT.

How about God? He wrote the rules! He's the most anti homo sex there is, he said they were an abomination, that they should be put to death, in fact he allowed an entire civilization to be wiped out because of it.

You are so far off on that. I struggled with same sex attraction for a little while, but I made my choice and never gave into the desires. That has been 25 years since I made my decision and the struggle is so miniscule now it practically does not exist. So no I am not and have never been gay because I have never given into the urges. The reason I am so against homosexuality is because I know from personal experience it is a choice and can be over come. Also for spiritual reasons I realize it is against Gods will and I wish for no one to suffer for eternity because of a fleshly decision. I care about the gays and do not wish evil upon them and I love them enough to tell them they are wrong.
