Default The Manor/Eastwood Village

Hi, my name is Mike Suttle. I lived in the manor from 1952-1958 and from 1963-1967 till I went In the Navy. I knew a bunch of people including Ron Hyden. Email me if you need some more names.

The apartment block with the pool in the middle on Strathmore, is that part of the original complex. It looks about that vintage ?

I think so. Being from the Trail, I think I got chased out of that pool a couple times by the Stratford Manor guys. I got chased out of Lyons Jr Hi once too when I went to walk Linda Latham home once. I think a bunch chased me all the way down that hill to the creek. Good thing I was always a fast runner. I remember when the Trail older kids and the Manor guys had bb gun wars in the woods between both areas.

Hi Danny. Yeah, it's pretty quiet. I think a number of posters have moved over to Facebook, except you and me. A few new folks have posted though.

Cool A young Eastwood village memory

Hi im kim hillard. I remember that place. I remember getting chased by a very big afro americam chic "for a popsicle" Chased me all the way to my front door . . Can you imagine that? !
I remember walking and playing on train tracks and totally face planting . Messed me up. I remember , on one the those streets walking from school and getting hit by a car . I remember failing first grade from what ever school it was but, i know i could walked to and from. also remember on the play ground being hit in the mouth with a ball and knocking my tooth out . Grrrr ! I remember going to some girls apt and watching patty duke . And at this moment im think where the hell was my mother ! Anyway. Not such good memories. So strange that it still sticks in my head . I would have lived there 1967 68 an
in first grade at that time .

Default Wow!

I stumbled on this quite by accident. I lived in the "Manor" from 1956 through 1964. Graduated Withrow High School; attended Eastwood Elementary & Lyon Jr High; haven't been back to Cincy in a long time, perhaps 30 years. I was messing around on Google Maps only to see what vast changes have occurred. The Manor is no more; Eastwood Elementary is no more; Schroder Jr. High is now Schroder High School. Wow!
