Uh...it's Texas. Many people consider the warmer climate when moving there from places like Chicago so they can wear lighter clothing, at times, during the winter months. Is this a revelation to you?

What you mean Jerusalem, London, Rome didn't have anything to do with it? The only thing about Christmas that originated in NYC is Santa Claus.

This will sound narrow minded, but I couldn't see Miami, LA, or Houston having much of a Christmas spirit because of the climate and people there.

You're so right! We don't celebrate Christmas here because of the weather. Instead we just go to work and school on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day just like any other day. Maybe a freak cold front will come through and drop the temps a little on Christmas Day because I've really been wanting Santa to bring me a Kindle Fire but we all know he refuses to travel anywhere above 40 degrees.
