Houston has nothing to offer for the visiting tourist. The common tourist doesn't even know who Sam Houston is so that's a weak take on city identity. Your homerism is the worst I've seen on this board and no Houston is not ranked fourth. How convenient to use MSA since the entire urban developed region falls inside the MSA. The Bay Area CSA destroys Houston. Time for you to go to bed 😴

When you boast fanboy numbers comparing Houston to the rest of the country then you will be called on it. You should stay in the Texas forums where every Houstonian sings Kumbaya and is in lock step with your fudged homeristic numbers. That won't work on City vs City. GTHOH

WE know who Sam Houston was and that is what's important to self identity, and we definitely have a stronger historical import than Dallas, which is on topic and pertinent to this thread. If some ignorant tourist in some other part of the world doesn't know I don't care. My identity isn't dependent on tourism anyway, evidently yours is. Shine shoes for tourist all you want, I'm not interested.

I think you misunderstand the title of the thread. It is Houston vs Dallas not the Bay Area or whatever your hacking for. Get on topic or better yet why don't you just stay in bed this time, you will be better off.

What's the difference between these two places? They're two sprawling, low-density peas in a pod.

^^^^
Here is someone that gets it. My problem with Houston is it's lack of inner urban planning. The city is just too sterile. Like a Charlotte on steroids.

I find Dallas to be a bit better due to the downtown area being more walkable.

Plus Downtown Dallas has some history to it. The 6th floor museum is very well laid out.

It just wouldn't be City-Data without the smug, generalizing of Sunbelt cities, wouldn't it?

Leave it to a Chicagoan and a Bay Area resident to run their mouth about cities they think they're better than. Probably should spend more time talking about cities on their level and why Chicago is losing importance.
