That wouldn't explain why places like Rio, Johannesburg, or even Miami (comparatively with San Diego) are very dangerous, while places like Stockholm and Zurich are not.

I don't think that at all. Look at the Canadian cities, and then look at the Mexican cities.

Until murder becomes a "white issue" then it will be regulated as something the government talks about whenever the US suffers one of it's usual Columbine event.

The murder rate and the overwhelming majority of victims exemplifies how the US is still, in some respects, dominated by the race issue.
Partly right. Black men are the #1 group to suffer from being murdered more than anyone else. If anyone should be worried, it's Black men. One reason many Blacks have voted with their feet and left the ghettos altogether.

I notice the #1 time Black-related crime is given the most attention is when non-Blacks are being hurt by it, at least on this forum.

Then what is your point? You initially insinuated that San Diego was safer somehow due to the warm weather, while Detroit and other cold weather cities were not. I pointed out that that's not the case at all by showing dangerous warm weather cities and safe cold weather cities, and now you do a complete 180 by suggesting Canadian cities as safer compared to Mexican ones. What are you trying to argue?

SEAandATL, disregard my post above. I just reread your reply and see that I misunderstood what you meant. You said some people feel that, but you don't think that at all. My bad!

I appreciate that there are white urban poor of course but they, like blacks, don't matter. Horrid thing to say but politically, economically, and socially it's absolutely true.

The US is very racial and socio/economically divided and segregated. Also the poor are FAR less likely to vote so no one is going to expend any political or monetary capitol on an issue that has little to no political advantage. It's a very sad reality but reality none the less..........until murder starts effecting the more affluent and white suburban areas it will not get the attention it is due.
