You disagree SD has lower crime, is better educated, and has less traffic? That's fine and all but those things are pretty cut and dry being quantifiable and all.
I didn't specify what I disagreed about, all I said was I disagreed with pretty much everything.
Montreal vs. Toronto is not really that big a rivalry. People look at the two biggest cities in Canada and assume they have this huge rivalry.
Toronto actually has as much of a rivalry with other Canadian cities (Vancouver over climate, Calgary over business/growth) and with some American cities as it does with Montreal.
Montreal's biggest rivalry is probably with provincial capital Quebec City. Its primary sports rivalry is also by far with Boston in ice hockey.

Toronto has been taking a lot of Montreal's "economic steam" away in the last few years. But you're right, Toronto has a lot of other cities it "competes" with, including U.S. cities.
