LA does not have any rivals. People try to, but it is pretty one sided and never has anything to do with LA. LA does not even know that you exist.

Toronto has been taking a lot of Montreal's "economic steam" away in the last few years. But you're right, Toronto has a lot of other cities it "competes" with, including U.S. cities.
