Denver gets the edge here. Taller buildings, more density and much more established dense downtown. Nashville is catching up very fast though, and should have as many skyscrapers as Denver in about 5 years, if the construction keeps pace.
Denver vs Calgary?
Calgary. The city is more filled in and modern looking.

Miami, FL or San Francisco, CA?
I prefer San Francisco's skyline to Miami's. Miami has a ton of nice, tall skyscrapers--but their aesthetic is SO similar for the most part. San Francisco is iconic and the density keeps coming, and I love to see it.

Worcester, MA vs Winston-Salem, NC?
Winston-Salem slightly because of the domed building and variety.
Toledo Much More Modern and Nicer than Expected. But Milwaukee, Bigger Denser a couple of Modern buildings too
Winner: Milwaukee
Madison Wisconsin or Greenville South Carolina
Madison, since I think it has a little more density. Also I like the convention center building in Madison, which has a Frank Lloyd Wright design. It's interesting to think that building wasn't completed, until after he passed away. Although the downtown of Greenville is nice right by the Reedy River, though.

Roanoke, VA, or Charleston, WV?
Charleston, WV all the way. It has an under-rated, very nice dense downtown that is older, for its city size. A decent number of high-rises too. Roanoke is a lot smaller feeling, than Charleston.

Knoxville, Larger Denser Looks Slightly more modern, the "SunSphere" puts it over the top
Winner: Knoxville
San Diego. More variety instead of being mostly hotels.
Billings MT vs Fargo ND
Fargo looks more dense with more buildings. Newark NJ or Bellevue WA?
