I really studied pics of these 2 a lot, and to me San Diego narrowly wins. I like the balance of old and new buildings here, the various mountain backdrops, and the Coronado Bridge if you get just the right skyline angle pic. I like Honolulu's skyline too, but I wish the buildings there were a little more unique.
Now for a comparison, with another city where IMO Honolulu's skyline reminds me of: Honolulu, or Miami?

Miami due to taller buildings and the style of the buildings is more modern.

Baltimore, MD or Las Vegas, NV?
I'm gonna go with Las Vegas here. Even though the Vegas' skyline is not downtown but on "the Strip," it still far outpaces Baltimore's more traditional skyline. I'd like to see Vegas beef up their downtown and build 6 or 8 skyscrapers there, to add density.
As for Baltimore, they need a couple of skyscrapers above 600 feet.

Memphis, TN or Buffalo, NY?
Memphis, Buffalo is more spread out while imo memphis has better density in the skyline
Minneapolis or Portland got skipped, so I'll answer that one. I'll pick Minneapolis, it looks slightly more dense.
As for the most recent one, I'll pick Cincinnati. It has more of a classic look, and a blend of old and new buildings I like. And the Roebling Bridge, puts it enough over the top. For Indianapolis, I do like the monument circle area by the Soldiers and Sailors Monument.

Toronto, ON, or Atlanta, GA?
Honestly I like Toronto's density but I have to go with Atlanta's character on this one.

Atlanta or Philly?
I like Philly's density--it's much better than Atlanta's overall. Atlanta has the longer, impressive skyline, but Atlanta's downtown is sparse compared to Philly's center city.
Hartford, CT or Louisville, KY?
