Huntsville due to its size, military presence, and both have pretty educated populations (though Huntsville wins on this).

Is Little Rock, AR more similar to Greensboro, NC or Birmingham, AL?

I'd say Birmingham because the central city isn't growing although LR's metro is still growing. Is Colorado Springs more similar to Spokane or Wichita?

Wichita. Noticeably more conservative and smaller town feel. Both attract young people.

Is Kansas City, MO more similar to Norfolk, VA or Cleveland, OH?

Cleveland. Not as much of a military presence, both are in the Midwest, have multiple pro sports franchises, and have more developed downtown/core areas.

Time for another "medium" more like a "big" or "small" pairing:

Is Orlando, FL more like Miami or Ocala, FL?

Bonus question: If Miami, also indicate the approximate year/decade this shift took place, and if not, predict the time that this will happen.

I say Miami since they are both much larger than Ocala. Is Evansville IN more similar to Cincinnati or Louisville?

Definitely Louisville, although all three have some similarities. Evansville shares the flatter topography, rural feel, and blue collar look of areas around Louisville.

Is Birmingham, AL more similar to Nashville, TN or Huntsville, AL?

I'd say Huntsville since they are both in the same state. Is Shreveport LA more similar to Evansville IN or Roanoke VA?

Evansville. Both have noticeable delta vibes and lively summer festivals. They are not as provincial feeling as Roanoke.

Is Columbia, MO more similar to Norman, OK or Murfreesboro, TN?

Well, Norman is an outer suburb of Oklahoma City while Columbia stands alone, so on those grounds I'd say Murfreesboro, but otherwise Norman.

Is Springfield, Mo., more like Springfield, Ill., or Springfield, Ohio?

Springfield ILL. They're both closer in size and further away from large cities. Is Danville VA more similar to Danville ILL or Danville CA?
