I’d say Youngstown, OH. Similar industrially and economically.

Would you say Dallas, TX has more similarities to Denver, CO or Nashville, TN?

Youngstown, those two are better preserved than Gary, with more intact businesses (even some new ones) and cultural institutions in their cores.

Is Memphis more similar to San Francisco or Sioux Falls?

Nashville, both far less culturally liberal, less urban, and aren't known for being outdoorsy.

Is Memphis more similar to San Francisco or Sioux Falls, SD?

This is inaccurate for Nashville. The city takes pride for its park land, hilly terrain, and outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing culture.

I would say Memphis is more similar to Sioux Falls based on service based economies, less progressive politics, and location close to the midwest. Manufacturing is also big in both regions.

Is Salt Lake City, UT more similar to Minneapolis, MN or Phoenix, AZ?

I said Minneapolis partly for the weather. Is Toledo more similar to Detroit or Cleveland?

Definitely Detroit. Truth be told, Toledo should've/could've been in Michigan if it weren't for the Toledo War.

Is Orlando, FL more like Las Vegas or Anaheim, CA?

Anaheim. Anaheim and Orlando are family destinations, whereas Las Vegas is geared towards young adults.

Is Anaheim, CA more similar to Compton, CA or San Bernardino, CA?

Compton is gentrifying so I will say Compton.

Atlanta. Both have large black populations and musical connections. Youngstown Ohio or Peoria IL?

Atlanta is a major business center, with a very diverse economy. Peoria's economy is way more diverse than Youngstown, with both machinery (Caterpillar), as well as agriculture (Archer Daniels Midland). Youngstown is still mostly steel.

Is Peoria more similar to Des Moines, IA or St. Louis, MO?
