Mobile. It's possible for regional similarities to trump size similarities, but Vidor is in the part of Texas least similar to Oklahoma and most like Alabama.

Is Pueblo, CO more similar to Cleveland, OH or Los Angeles, CA?

Tough one. I think landscape wise, Pueblo and LA match up, both have larger hispanic communities. If you placed Pueblo in between LA and the IE you wouldn't bat the eye. Not a tough one, LA easily.

Minneapolis - Milwaukee, WI or Madison WI.....

Haven't been to any of them, only been to Juneau and Seattle, but I'll guess Anchorage is more similar to Yakima. Both are in the West, while Duluth is in the Midwest, and to me Minnesota seems like it would have a decidedly Eastern feel to it.

Which is more similar to Sacramento: Portland, OR or San Diego?

Cleveland by far. Buffalo is like Cleveland's little bro. Pittsburgh is a lot different, much more mid atlantic feel rather than great lakes.

Which is more similar to Richmond, Va. Nashville or Charlotte

Nashville. It is more urban than Charlotte and both state capitals. Both have crime and run down areas. Rivers and rolling hills are common.

Is Memphis more similar to Jackson or Birmingham?

Birmingham, though not by much. Memphis and Jackson both have a high black population, are pretty flat, and have larger swaths of rundown areas. Jackson though sadly retains its "brain drain" mentality as most of the brightest tend to flee for larger, more thriving cities. But at least Memphis has a decent-sized economy like Birmingham and are seen as large (for the south) legacy cities with a lot of pre-1970s development predominating that aren't too sprawling. Both are heavily associated with the Civil Rights movement and Martin Luther King, Jr and have fairly decent downtowns that are walkable and have much more potential for improvement than Jackson (and we're talking about the one in MS and not the one in TN, which quite frankly has better potential even if a bit smaller).

Is Philadelphia more similar to San Francisco or Seattle?

Another tough one. All three have different cultures. I would say Seattle based on their economies. Both have strong tech, media, and innovation. Philadelphia is also more affordable, especially outside the core like Seattle. San Francisco looks and feels like a much larger sprawling region.

Is Atlanta more similar to St. Louis or Cincinnati?

I don't think Atlanta has much resemblance to either lower Midwest city, but it probably aligns with Cincinnati a little better. Both areas are along I-75 at a similar longitude and have an abundance of hilly terrain, whereas Saint Louis is further west and predominantly flat to gently rolling (aside from a few hillier exurbs). Cincinnati has seen a little more metro area growth and less urban decline than Saint Louis over the long term as well, and it was once a hub for Atlanta's own Delta Air Lines.

Which city is more similar to Austin - is it Baton Rouge or Madison?
