The low effort answer would probably be Belle Glade or Clewiston. However, Hempstead, TX is another working class small town near a larger city. Also, Immokalee is to Hempstead as Ave Maria is to Prairie View; both are exurban college towns.

Redding, CA

It was a tough one between El Paso and Tuscon, and I'm leaning more towards Tucson.

Camden, AR. Pretty typical southern AR subregional small cities/big towns, part of their "Golden Triangle" regions in the state's Piney Woods areas. Both lean conservative.

My dad may be taking one last business trip here before his retirement in a couple weeks:

Clearwater, FL

Pick any of the planned GDC developments in Florida. They're all pretty much exactly the same. Curved and circular street patters, ugly stucco houses, no downtown, no sidewalks, everything is far from everything, no reason for existing other than to provide a house in a warm climate with no regard to any other facet of life...

I'll say Palm Bay because of the size similarity and being on the Atlantic side.

Benton Harbor, Michigan
