I'd replace Houston with Dallas and while Boston definitely has a great bar scene, I haven't found it to be the best place to party in. It's all subjective so I'm sure others have different experiences.
Philadelphia and Houston are def above Boston. Boston is a great city, but 100% not a nightlife city, its not even in my top 20, let alone 10...
Agreed. Boston is prob in my top 3 favorite cities, but the nightlife there is super underwhelming. I've gone out multiple times on multiple different visits at various times of the year and I have always been underwhelmed. I've defiantly found some cool bars there, but overall nightlife isn't impressive at all.
I also find Miami's nightlife is extremely overrated. Way too expensive and "snobbishly exclusive" feeling. If you aren't model status or a female, you'll be dumping out your wallet all over the place or won't even get in.
From what I've experienced, New York and Chicago have the best in the country.
Have you been to Montreal? One of the best nightlifes in North America. Miami is wilder, but just because it Miami doesn't mean it has the best nightlife.
Its more the megaclubs that are closing... those days are behind us, but the club/ bar scene is pretty healthy throughout New York. Some nightlife in Manhattan has become incredibly pretentious, but the nightlife is still there.
A lot of Manhattan clubs are becoming more and more pretentious, and that’s why Brooklyn has become a huge nightlife spot recently as well. Brooklyn nightlife scene is superior to Manhattan’s in a lot of ways, but I guess it all really depends what kind of night you’re looking for.

My thoughts exactly. Miami is VERY overrated. If you're a half-naked woman with a fake body, you might have fun. Otherwise, prepare to throw away your wallet.
