What are your top 10 best nightlife cities in North America? (ranking, districts)

I don't see why Houston is so high on the list. Drive to a cool club or bar, drive home. Not a very unique experience.

Because it's generally assumed that larger cities = better nightlife.

There's some truth to that, but there are a lot of smaller/mid sized cities that pack a pretty heavy punch in terms of nightlife.
