Here is my list
1. Oklahoma City
2. Des Monies
3. Dayton Ohio
4. Toledo-This could be swapped with Dayton
5. Louisville
6. Tulsa
7. Omaha
8. Laredo, TX
9. Bakersfield, CA
10. Provo, UT
Dayton OH has the best nightlife/party scene in my area, underestimating Louisville is a big mistake.
Good list, although I think Miami's nightlife is VERY overrated, but that's just me. As far as Florida goes, Key West >>>>>>>>>>>>> Miami.
Key West has a lot less options and none of their 'nightclubs' are really that upscale. But, as a local, Miami's night life scene is very expensive and tedious. Always fighting lines, paying ridiculous cover charges, looking for connections to get you inside. It's a city really designed for tourists who want to spend a lot of money in a short period of time. Perhaps this is their bachelor party or stag night, NYE, or just celebrating their graduation. So I'm with you on preferring KW, no lines, almost never cover charges, and less pretentious.
But I'd never advocate someone KW over Miami for a nightlife experience.
real funny, but have you been to Louisville lately? It really blows any city on this "worst of" list you have created. I do agree mostly with your serious list you created in your second post.
Montreal lol Miami is nightclub capital after Vegas. New York is getting rid of clubs
Have you been to Montreal? One of the best nightlifes in North America. Miami is wilder, but just because it Miami doesn't mean it has the best nightlife.

Its more the megaclubs that are closing... those days are behind us, but the club/ bar scene is pretty healthy throughout New York. Some nightlife in Manhattan has become incredibly pretentious, but the nightlife is still there.
