I do believe if we are able to be healty at the D tackle(both starters out vs. OSU) spot, our line will make GS make faster decisions, and make will move around a little. Possible making him throw to soon, or take chances he might not normally do.
One of the good things I think that came out of the victory @ OSU is that it told Manny Diaz that work is dearly needed!! I know we where also short on the LB and SS positions, but those back ups need to be ready and make plays. More rotation to make sure if that depth is needed we still have a well oiled machine.
I don't know if it's being caught off guard so much as it is the big dogs, Oklahoma/Texas have had some very mediocre seasons (by our standards) the last few years and WV/TCU are entering the Big XII with OU/Tejas on the downswing. Although Tejas looks to be moving in the right direction very quickly.
WV becomes very average if it it loses Geno Smith. He's gonna get beat up by those powerful/fast shorthorn defensive ends. WV will get some major love if they can do it in Austin. I'm guessing not. We'll see.
It's going to be a very interesting season! Geno has proved to be fairly resiliant and I'm guessing the Mountaineers will do it in Austin. WV always gets major love from the fans...we'll see.
Even though Texas won last week, Ok State racked up a lot of points on them. IMO, WV will probably do the same thing. They won't rack up the points they had against Baylor but they'll still score a lot. I think it's going to be a close game, with UT having a slight edge being at home.

I hope you're right! There's no question in my mind that OU has very talented players, I'm just stunned by that lack of mental toughness you mentioned. Bob Stoops usually has those Sooners playing at peak performance. K State seems to be very self-disciplined, focused, and they make very few mistakes (at least so far). I fear that K State will stay that way and OU will wake up and start playing the way they usually do and Tech will lose against both of them...lol.
No team in America has played the Sooners better than Texas Tech over the last several years. It's a toss up really, with the slight edge going to Tech at home. OU might have better athletes, but they are not mentally tough. We'll see if they can grow up a little today and take Tech down to the wire.
