Yep, CVS has a giant suburban campus with a couple of buildings on the edge of town. The rest of Woonsocket is a typical New England mill town some of which has seen better days. Jay

So the possible contenders for the development of NoDo are beginning to come forward. There is an upcoming information meeting with proposals due in February. Hopefully this round will result in real development. Jay

It looks like the city will seek financial oversight from the state. Now who is going to oversee the state? Jay

The new truck stop/travel center in Hartford's North Meadows is scheduled to open in the spring. I know the state is in dire need of these facilities so it is good news for truckers and the city. Jay

There appears to be a lot of interest in developing the NoDo area around Dunkin Donuts Park. A number of these are consultants probably looking for work but still there are several developers that seem interested. That is good news. Jay

If they find a way to make it very easy to walk from the Science Centre/Riverfront/Convention Centre to D&D park, Hartford would have a decent downtown. Already the area around the Convention Centre is pretty nice, and I wholly enjoy the Food Truck festival when I spend a couple of days in Hartford during the summer. The work they've been doing around downtown in general has shown in the few years I go back to Hartford.

I believe the iQuilt project that is currently being constructed is designed to help with these connections. Hopefully it will make downtown Hartford an even better place to live, work and play. Jay
