Several years ago a Alaska Airlines which I fly occasionally the tail flap came off and that plane went straight down for one full minute. One minute is a long time when you know your surelly going to die. I sure would be praying to my Lord.

This world is just so crazy sometimes ! How can a person kill lots of men, women, and children like he did ? They did nothing to him, but put their trust in his abilities to fly that plane. I hope he burns in a special Hell.

As for the people who thought they were making cute comments on here, you are one step above this guy, and it isn't a very big step.

Dear Heart, you obviously didn't understand that post. I said I believed it to be true. So now for the stupid part, go find a mirror. LOL!

Looks like it's confirmed. Plane had to be manually flown into the mountain. Screams heard from passengers when they realized what was happening. Pilot pounding on door to get back into cockpit. It must have been absolutely horrible.

Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz DELIBERATELY crashed plane into French Alps

I can understand locking the door to prevent intrusion into the cockpit, but then how do you prevent something like this from happening?

You have two people in the cockpit at all times, like they do in the U.S. which I just found out about today.

I read that the co-pilot's family is currently being questioned. The way it was phrased made it seem as if they had been grouped with the other mourners until very recently and were unaware that their son was in sole control of the aircraft. That just broke my heart. Losing a child is is a grief like no other; knowing that your child was likely responsible for not only his own death but also the deaths of 149 innocent bystanders is beyond comprehension.

The Co-Pilot is the epitome of a narcissist and wanting to go out in a Blaze of "Glory." This also takes the heat off of unsavory Arab and Muslim groups. They can now say "look! look! It isn't always us!" Unless, it turns out this fellow had links to radical groups.

I have always been slightly concerned about something like this since I fly pretty often. We put our lives in the hands of a could of people in the cockpit. Yet, we don't know what is going on in their lives where suicide might be their only selfish option.
