Why do people act like peacefull protesting actually really change anything. Do they really think people walking down streets with signs are gonna change people's minds? We are seeing more and more black people being abused and killed and people really think peaceful protests are helping?

Well, the chronic looting and continued gang violence certainly are not....

Well, as one of the few black people at my job, I'm embarrassed to go to work today. Thanks, Baltimore!

Ferguson obviously was a failure so I was not referring to Baltimore being like Ferguson. Cause Ferguson was a total failure. They only did martial law after it got REALLY bad.

I was saying they need to shut the crap down BEFORE anything happens.

Soak every street with anti riot armored cars, Humvees, soldiers, police, riot gear, tear gas, rubber bullets, etc.

Have mobile protection squads escorting every firetruck/EMT/ambulance.

Extra large police/guardsment presence at shopping malls/store fronts. Use armored vehicles to block off paths into store parking lots/entry ways

Extra protection for gas stations. Surround perimeter with heavy armor cars and heavily armed guardsmen and policemen

Have several elite SWAT groups roaming the city in "on-call" routes in heavily armored SWAT cars with full weapons-hot ready mode to respond to any serious situation at the drop of a hat.
Yeah ...... no. So how'd that work out for the Arab Spring rebellions?

I can't think of many cases where a heavy-handed, brutal crackdown worked more than temporarily. It gets people outraged and eventually even more rebellious. Most people aren't cowed by that sort of thing for very long if they believe they are in the right, fighting against evil and corruption.

No, we're not. We're seeing more media spotlighting when it happens (though oddly enough, no spotlighting when Asians, whites, or Hispanics are killed by blacks.

Why do you and others have such a hard time distinguishing between the two groups? Its like you want the peaceful protesters treated like criminals too. Hmmm.

I'm all for letting these people have Baltimore to do with as they pleased. I said this yesterday. The results speak for themselves.

Unlike those who participated in the Arab Spring, they will be totally incapable of supporting themselves, incapable of organizing themselves into any sort of civil government, incapable of providing city services, unable to do anything to actually run the place, will demand that the rest of productive America pay to repair the city they burned down, so forth and so on.

i.e. There is no moral equivalence here to the Arab Spring. Toss a truck load of brand new Air Jordans into that crowd and see what happens.

Regardless, its stupid to assign behaviors and blame to an entire group of people. It shows a lack of critical thinking skills and maturity.
