"We're not as obese as you" reads like "I'm only jumping off a 5-story building, your building is 7 stories."
I do find it kind of interesting that when it's Americans who are fat, it's our own fault for stuffing our faces, we can't blame advertising, we pick up our own fork, blah blah...but when it's another nation, they CAN blame us. LOL. (The whole "once American food entered X country everybody got fat" thing.) I mean...you guys can put down the fork too, or just say no. But in increasing numbers...you're not.
I don't suppose it's possible that people all over the world are so very different or anything kumbayah like that, right? That nobody's really all that better or worse than anybody else underneath it all?
Those who look for the closest possible parking spot to the door often do so for safety reasons. Parking in the back of a large parking lot is dumb; there are better ways to get exercise.
McD's and other fast food joints are far and few between if not totally absent from most cities and towns. Maybe in touristy spots where Americans (and Canadians) can get their "biggie it" fixes.
This is just absolutely false, where on earth do you guys dream this stuff up?
McDonald's outlets:
Germany 1,476
France 1,419
United Kingdom 1,274
Are you seriously going to say that almost 1,476 McDonald's outlets makes their presence "far and few between" or that they're all for US and Canadian tourists? Germany also has about 700 Burger Kings and I've seen plenty of KFCs, that is well over 2,000 fast food joints that are claiming are hard to find or absent.
Have you ever been in a McDonalds, KFC, or Burger King in Europe? The overwhelming majority are full of locals enjoying fast food, just like anywhere else.

That's a very small number compared to the US.
There were 14,146 McDonald's restaurants in the United States in 2016 and 1,450 McDonald's restaurants in Canada.

Germany 82 million pop
France 65 million pop
UK 66 million pop
So that's 213 million people with a total of 4169 McD's.
The US has 325 million people with 14,146 McD's. BIG difference.
I’m always surprised at the number of people who appear overweight/obese in Frankfurt when I’m there. Perhaps car ownership is higher in Hessen than other states. My German friends have said that meat has gotten cheaper and portion sizes at restaurants have increased as well.
Smoking is to Europe as what obesity is to America. You wouldn’t believe the amount of Europeans who smoke. It’s their epidemic.

Yes, I have. In both Ireland and Scotland. They're not as many of them and it still doesn't change the fact that you don't a lot of obese people over there as you do here.
That's the truth, I guess some Americans don't want to hear that.
Last trip I was gone for a month, when I came back I was at my local Target and took a good look around and took notice of how many people were overweight, and I don't mean just a few pounds. The sad thing was many were in their 20s or 30s.
And I live in Southern CA, where people tend to be more health conscious than other parts of the country.
