Sorry if I hit a nerve responding to a post about admitted stupid acts of destroying local ecosystems, it was not directed at you but I'm guessing you now realize how stupid releasing animals can be? We now have pythons in Florida released by "do gooders".

When a tourist goes to Africa and takes a "photo safari" through Kruger, the money that he spends on that vacation will help Kruger in its mission, but does virtually NOTHING for the vast majority of animals/habitat in Africa.
The animals in the parks/refuges have value (which I previously mentioned) but outside of the parks, without hunting, NONE of the Big 5 have any value at all to the Africans, and they will be slaughtered indiscriminately.
Study up a bit on African hunting and conservation. The reality is radically different from what you think.
