By dynamic, that means it has an incredible capacity to throw off industries and create new ones. The retail in Dallas is second to none. The area is unique with four busy airports and two major airlines.

Dallas Cowboys.

Enough said.

I have to say that I do love civic pride. I really do. I love when people are proud of where they come from. But you my friend are delusional.
The women thing? Personal opinion. I haven't noticed much difference since I've lived here.
Safest place in the nation? Please tell me you're joking? While generally safe for a large metro, it's hardly the safest place in America.
And 4 busy airports? Idk because I'm new to the area but I'm only aware of DFW and Love.

So far as the airports my guess is YPP means:
1. DFW
2. Love
3. Alliance ALLIANCEAIRPORT.COM
4. Addison Addison Airport (Dallas, TX) KADS / ADS Flight Tracker

You forgot Meacham.

Alliance is an industrial/commercial airport so that's stretching a bit. And what's Addison, a corporate/private jet airport? I've never heard anyone say I'm flying out of Addison.

I'm not stretching anything. I'm guessing Alliance is one of the airports the YPP was talking about - freight only or not it averages about 400 takeoffs per day.
Addison is very a busy corporate and charter airport that also handles a good deal of air cargo.

Alliance was such a successful cargo airport that it decided not to handle passengers. Addison has always been recognized as one of the busiest general airports. These four airports are motors driving the commercial areas surrounding them. I've never heard or read about Meacham holding the same designation. I'll read up on it.

Pertaining to the post about Dallas and beautiful women, no one questions that Paris has lots of beautiful women. I think it is the retail angle. Anyone in Paris with knowledge about retail is going to know that Dallas is a retail power house.

I posted a thread about The Dallas Market Center substantiating this fact.

Pertaining to it being the safest metropolitan area in the nation, an extensive study was done before deciding to construct the super collider around the city of Waxahatchi.

Why is the two airports thing such a big deal to people? If they closed Love field and opened a new terminal at DFW for Southwest, I don't think anyone would notice any difference in flight times and availability.

Wanna fly Southwest? Go to Love. Don't want to fly Southwest? Go to DFW.

Ask people near downtown Chicago if they'd miss Midway airport.

If you are driving in traffic, Midway is about 5-10 minutes closer than O'Hare. People use both airports regularly depending on what airline they are flying. ORD is about 17 miles from downtown. Midway is about 13.

Because DFW has to main cities, it would be awesome if DFW were a little closer to Dallas (maybe where Love is currently), and Southwest used Meacham. This would make it easier for folks on the FW side of the metro to access an airport.

From downtown Fort Worth, DFW airport is about 25mi, and Love field is 35mi. Meacham would only be about 6mi.
