That is really more of an Irish accent and the last word is common conversation in Ireland. LOL

I picked a few weeks today.......a few? Yea, right....I am the Tylenol Queen. Weeds grow really fast in CO.....when the ground warms up, they really take off..... I am really not happy with the raspberry patch.....it is so stickery......and a lot of the weeds last summer were stickery in it and I couldn't even get them out....I am not good with stickery plants...... I have cut all the long growth off....they look like tiny plants right now......lots of weeds in them...it is taking all I've got to not tear it all out..... I think that raspberries only grow on old growth, (not sure though), and being that I've chopped the crap out of them, well.....might not get any this year...... There weren't that many last year and they were small.. My friend told me to have patience because it takes raspberries several years to produce.......right now, I don't have a lot for that area of the garden......grrrrr!

I have bought about a dozen blackberry plants......NO STICKERS......must be a new patent, I dunno....

Happy Thursday!

I woke up in a good mood, but after my daughter has come into my room to share
3 bad things that she feel has already happened to her today....I feel like poking my eye out.
(at 22....your perspective of life has so much drama in it......)

2 more days until my own va-ta-cation!!
TFW sent me another fan to give to my parents. They will love it. It's the best fan I've
ever owned. It's small....but really powerful...and you can bend it all sorts of ways.
(Wait...that last line sounded funny.....)

Morning..... up all night. Just one of those nights. I'll take that other cup of coffee if your offering Glory. I could use a small powerful fan like that for the motor home. Does she remember where she got it? She comes across the most interesting things.

Why dont you poke her eye out instead?????? Have a great vacation!

Wurzig, growing your own blackberries and raspberries sounds divine. But I empathize -- I'm not very patient either.

Hey, Campie! They're Sharper Image Feel Good desk fans. The "Feel Good" is because there's an option to release negative ions. They're about 8" tall and about 4" in diameter. They run on either electricity or batteries and are just awesome.

Sharper Image stopped making them about 10-12 years ago (cant understand why) and the only place you can get them now is eBay. From 2001 to 2010, I bought at least 30-40 of them on eBay for my employees.

I've posted about them several times over the past few years. They were a lifesaver after Hurricane Ike, when I had no electricity for two weeks. Here's a photo and review from epinions.com:

Let me check my gift closet later on today and see if I have any more. Most of the ones I bought on eBay were used but very clean. Two of the ones I sent to Glory were used but she can vouch that they're as clean and work as well as brand new.

Hey TFW!! I guess i should have jsut posted that question to you instead of just talking about you.... forgive my rudeness...

I just did a search of ebay... guess I'm a few years to late. oh well, I'll find something. That will teach me to pay more attention. I do remembering you mentioning them now.

So how are things there? We have a " chance" of rain Friday but they are already saying we are under drought conditions again. It's odd to hear that when I look out and see green everywhere. When it's time to turn on the sprinklers again, to heck with the grass. We're going straight for the trees. Texas lost some old trees last year because of no water.

I'll check my gift closet later on today to see if I have any more, Camper. I still search for them on eBay and try to buy them whenever they come up for sale there -- although there's usually a bidding war over them.

I had the same kind of night that you did and am going back to bed for a while.

P.S. We have the same chance for some fairly heavy rain Friday night. But we're still way under the normal rainfall amount.

I didnt water anything during last year's drought. But this year I have all new red-tip photinias front and back, two lovely bottlebrush trees in the back and a gorgeous Bradford Pear tree in front. So my water bill will be high this summer.

But at least my electricity bill is a straight $125/month, regardless of how much elec I use. It's not averaged billing; it's a flat rate. After being so stingy with the a/c for so many years, I've already turned it down 10 more degrees.
