A brokered convention would not be good for the Republican Party. Especially if they choose someone different than the people chose as the candidate. If that happens, Trump will find a 3rd party to run him as the candidate, and nobody could really blame him at that point. That would likely lead to a Clinton victory.
IMO: If that scenario happens don't you think that people will see AGAIN that the GOPe are trying to control them and their lives and choice and not be "ticked-off" AGAIN? I see Trump still getting enough support as a 3rd party to win as after all if we go by the so-far the "D" primaries voter turnout are a lot less than with all the "R" primary voter turnouts.
To stand around and do book signings and collect 5% in every state?
Sure he can.
I could afford to do that.
do you have any clue how much it costs to run a campaign? If you think he can just not bother to show for rallies and continue to get even a couple of % votes, forget it. He has to be right up there with the others or people are going to support others. He already has had staffing problems.

I totally agree with you, but I also know a Trump win isn't going to be good for the party. As for his running on a third party ticket, I think a lot of people could blame him. He made a commitment and if he doesn't have the delegates why shouldn't there be others to consider. You are right, most likely the nominee would be someone not in the race right now.

Thanks so much Smash. This is better than our paper this morning.
Not a problem, some of these are estimated so its subject to change as more of the results come in or is broken out further by Congressional District so that is something to keep in mind. However, should be close to the results. Green Papers was my Primary Source also looked at a handful of others for confirmation or to further break out the results Green Papers did not estimate yet. Not sure if the mods allow this, but have to give credit to Eric at the us election atlas forum site, which was my Primary 2nd source.
Worthless POS Establishment (for the lack of a better term) Repugs have no one but themselves to blame for the major backlash they are now seeing with Trump taking over the party.
Here is one thing for sure a brokered Convention most likely will cause Repugs to lose the White House, Senate and maybe the house if the Most Popular Candidate isn't the nominee.
