Sadly, most don't look beyond the surface at the candidates and that is the only way an otherwise sane person would be voting for Cruz or Rubio. They won't take votes from Trump as they continue to embarrass themselves with immature behavior and/or deceitfulness. Most Christians will not vote for a liar since that is an endorsement of the sinful behavior.

I don't have to like the person but have to feel that that person is the best person for the job. It isn't like we'll be sharing an office although I wouldn't wish Cruz on anyone since he is legendary for being difficult to get along with. Trump is the most suitable candidate for the job, thus my support for him.

While they might very well be sincere, what seems to be lost is that many of the Sanders voters will vote Trump over her.

So there will be a great amount of crossover voting from both sides.
It will be like spinning the "big" wheel. No Trump is no GOP vote for me. I'd vote for Bernie if he were the nominee. Otherwise, 3rd party. If the GOP want to be horses' butts and deny Trump the nomination, I want them to lose. They need to be disciplined at that point. I believe behind the scene that the Democratic Party and the GOP are joined at the hip in an alliance against the citizens of the US. Trump is trying to surgically remove the GOP from the Dem's hip. Hey, maybe Carson could help with that!

I really wish, as an Independent, I could've voted in both the Democratic and Republican primaries.

Quick analysis:

Clinton has solidified herself as a frontrunner. Sanders has done better than pretty much anyone expected, but the margins Clinton put up last night in some states makes things difficult for Bernie. A bunch of rich delegate states during the next two weeks. Sanders really needs to take a majority of the delegates to give himself a realistic shot. If Clinton gets a majority over the next couple weeks, she is unlikely to completely lock it up, but the proportional nature of the Democratic Primary will likely leave Sanders in a pledged delegate gap too large to overcome.

On the GOP side, Trump has the lead, but doesn't have a majority of the delegates yet. This could soon change as the GOP side soon shifts to having more states similar to South Carolina in which is either winner take all by state or Congressional district. Once these states start coming into the mix (its not all of them, but enough to have a significant impact) if Trump is winning the majority of the states as he is now it is very likely he gets the majority of delegates and it will be virtually impossible for him not to get the nomination. On the other hand if these states wind up being split, Trump's path to the majority of the delegates might get a bit more difficult.

Clinton and Trump both have significant advantages at this point, although they certainly don't have things locked up. However, unless things change in these races and quickly, from a realistic standpoint, it will soon become virtually impossible for them not to becoming the nominees.

You have made this assessment. Now the burden of proof is on you to prove that this is the case.

Glad to see Bernie got some traction. I know he won't get the nomination but hopefully the Dem party listens to him. Hillary should be in prison. The thought of her a POTUS is horrifying.

Trump steam rolls ahead!

I didn't read through the thread as I figured it would be the same old made up reasons why Trump did so well and the others so poorly. Reality has yet to set in for the dreamers.
I wonder after Trump wins the nomination, how many of the former candidates will stick to the pledge they took at the first debate that they WOULD SUPPORT the eventual repub nominee?
