Curious to know the views from better reasoned conservatives and/or other than those who don't lean conservative in the first place...

Perhaps as Ryan suggests?

"Trump's Muslim Ban Not Reflective Of GOP And U.S. Principles"

Paul Ryan: Donald Trump's Muslim Ban Not Reflective Of GOP And U.S. Principles : NPR
Because he lies blatantly to the voters.

Because he refuses to be transparent with his finances like every other candidate for the last 40 years.

Because he has donated substantially to the campaigns of democrats and to establishment GOP members to help them keep their seats against more conservative opponents.

Because he supports big government and has no intention of repealing Obamacare or reducing the size and reach of government.

Because he has no understanding of how a Republican form of government operates.

Because he has no understanding of Foreign Policy and the current state of the world.

Because he is a hypocrite, claiming he will bring jobs back to America, all while sending jobs to China and Mexico and using illegals or foreign workers to staff his US based hotels.

Because he is a bully and a loudmouth with thin skin and has stated that he will change free speech laws so he can sue the press.

Because he used underhanded tactics and smear campaigning against his opponents in the primary because he is incapable of competing based on the issues and debating them.

Because he is a liberal democrat and acts and talks exactly like Obama.

Because he is a birther and a truther and surrounds himself with unsavory and shady individuals.

For starters.

We need to run the street sweeper through congress. Get the garbage out of there. Ryan is trying to adapt but he doesn't how because he was doing so well as Obama's lap dog.
He's a globalist but he is moving off that a little. Can't trust him.

Donald Trump is only a mirror. He simply repeats back to his followers what they say first.

I'll leave the derangement argument alone. Trump is completely unfit to hold the office, and even most Republicans know that fact.

Trump has had a floor of 27% support from the time he began right up to today. That's all the percentage of the votes he's gonna get. His favorability percentage exactly matches his floor.

He's the only candidate in the history of political tracking that has ever had the same favorability and the floor data. The floor is the minimum percentage of the vote data provides. His ceiling is only 36%, the highest percentage the data provides, and he has been tracked for almost 18 straight months now with no change. That's also unique to Trump alone.

The data is collected from much more sophisticated and accurate models than polls, but polls are a part of the data.

As a Trump supporter, I really do wish he would rein in some of his rhetoric. Instead of phrasing it as "building a wall", hammering the message of "securing the border" would resonate much better, without alienating/polarizing so many. Instead of "banning" muslims I'd rather his message be about vetting, much more palatable. We've never been a country that just bans segments of people. But my gosh securing our country has to be done, who can deny this? And, I really wish he would add overstayed visas into his message also, what a nightmare that situation is.

I really agree mostly with his message/ideas, just his delivery method puts off way too many voters...voters that he needs.

What is his message? so far all i hear is he's some how going to make America great again completely ignoring the fact that America was never not great.
He's going to build a wall.
He is going to ban any demographic he doesnt like from coming to the USA.
The guys bank account will attest to the success of his business acumen but when it comes to what it takes to be a politician he hasnt a clue, tact, diplomacy and compromise are foreign to his way of thinking.

I consider myself a moderate, Independent. Can't answer as a Conservative. Do have Conservative Fiscal values though.

-He's a demagogue: a politician who seeks support by appealing to popular desires and prejudices rather than by using rational argument.

-Trump's Birther movement attempted to delegitimized the POTUS that we elected was an early start to why I dislike the guy.

-I don't think he has the ability to represent all the people of the United States. He has racist/bigoted tendencies.

-He comes across as crass and poorly educated in policies. He can't enunciate much except to be critical of the United States. Ask him to explain what he'd do, he can't provide specifics.

-He's seems to have some personality disorders such as narcissism and the inability to keep his cool/temperament problems. He unnecessarily lashes out at anyone who criticizes him for one reason or another.

-He promises a lot which I don't think he as a chance to fulfill. Health care, jobs, the wall. Deporting 11 million people from our nation is impossible.

-He has some dangerous ideas about disassembling NATO and withdrawing troops in S. Korea. http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/31/politi...h-korea-japan/

-I think his administration will be poorly run and scandal-ridden based on his record as a business man (several bankruptcies, lawsuits, scams like Trump U).

-His failures:
Trump Airlines
Trump Vodka
The Bankruptcies
The Marriages
Trump Mortgage
Trump: The Game
Trump Casinos
Trump U.

-I followed Trump during his early years as an USFL/NFL fan and know his role in destroying the USFL attempt to franchise. Locally in Tampa he screwed out innocent people with a Condo deal that went bad. The country is littered with Trump failures like this.

-He promises to make changes (trade policies) when I don't think he has a complete grasp on basic economics behind the policies.

-He lies. He has a 75% lie rate by organizations who tract this stuff. There's a thread on what he lies about here on CDF. He lied about Muslims celebrating by the thousands in the streets of NY, NJ. He has yet to say he's wrong about that. His ego can't handle saying he might be incorrect.
http://www.politifact.com/personalities/donald-trump/

-Speaking of lies, I don't think he has any intention of finding the 11 million illegal immigrants in the country because it's an impossible thing to do legally.

Just a few thoughts before my first cup of coffee.

This is definitely fair. Although I fall on the liberal side of the political spectrum, there are several things I sort of agree with him about (e.g. reducing H1B visas, strengthening our borders, etc.), but I could never vote for someone so incendiary and bad-tempered. Those qualities do not become a president.

I find it funny Real life long conservatives are being demonized because they don't want to get behind a guy who has supported democrat ideas and polticians his entire life up until literally 4 years ago.
