Every president gets called out. In private and public. They're suppose to sit back and take it because you don't get into a war of words with the American people. It's stupid.
He takes on almost every person who has something critical to say about him. Do you remember Bush doing hat publically? People said some real dingers about him but nope. He was a dummy but knew when to stay mum.
Obama too. People who publicly call him a Muslim and anti-American. Do you see him Tweeting stuff in defense of himself and caling them out or responding t it? Nope.
he's not a president though, he's a private citizen also.
I didn't hear him say anything offensive. I only hear the usual RINOs and crooked Hillary camp saying he did and running with it.

As far as I know he voiced his wonder as to why the Muslim wife was not speaking, implying that Muslim men do not let their wives speak. So what?
Also, he said he has made sacrifices and corrected Mr. Khan about reading the constitution. Again, not a big deal.
What did he say that was offensive and has warranted domination of the entire news cycles on all stations? Are the Democrats freaking out because they are losing and have nothing else besides phony stories and rigged polls?
It was tweets. Mainly about why Mrs. Khan didn't speak while onstage, basically implying she wasn't allowed to since Islam treats women like dirt.
Nothing. its everyone who is 'soft' ganging up on him. Seriously, 82 people get mowed over by a truck, cops get shot in dallas, 50 people get slaughtered in orlando and all the other attacks in baton rouge and turkey and so on and so on, if you add up all the minutes spent by news channels covering those tragedies and times it by 10, you'll have the same amount of time spent on ONE COMMENT BY TRUMP TO A GUY WHO TRASHED HIM FIRST.

The MSM hits on Trump at every chance because of ratings. I would have hoped people would have figured this out by now. It's no different than when Jake Trapper,(tripper whatever) went on about the KKK and the cries for Trump to disavow. And it goes on & on. If they don't have a controversy about Trump, their ratings plummet. Nobody cares about Hillary.
The thing is, only the stupid believe anything on CNN, FOX, MSNBC, ABC, FOX and NBC these days. They have completely discredited themselve.
This said, Trump has no business questioning the woman's grief. These parents are still angry, and they are in a lot of pain. Sometimes, Trump just needs to pick his own battle.. Something he is incapable of doing. His ego is just way too big.
That is the thing, isn't it? Each and every reaction, including not reacting at all, would have been better. The guy lacks self-awareness and impulse control.
It has NOTHING to do with TRump. It is just the latest "Shiny object" the DNC holds up to distract people from the heinous anti-American deeds done by Hillary.
