I will point out that it might be best to wait until next week to get excited about this. Might simply be post debate enthusiasm driving the polls right now.
Looks like Johnson and Stein are beginning to collapse in the polls as well.
This was what I was half-expecting to happen, and I hope it's coming to pass. I think that as we get closer and closer to the election, third party voters are going to start to realize that this year, there really is a YUUUUUGE difference between the two candidates. Most of the movement toward Hillary over the last week or so has clearly come from undecideds and third-party voters. If that trend continues, the dam may break, and she could put this whole thing away once and for all by mid-October.
The survey finds Clinton topping Trump 47% to 42% among likely voters with Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson at 7% and Green Party nominee Jill Stein at 2%.
