" WASHINGTON Oct. 1 (UPI) — The UPI/CVoter daily presidential tracking poll released Saturday shows Donald Trump leading Hillary Clinton by nearly 2 percentage points.
The online poll shows Trump with 49.31 percent, to Clinton’s 47.34 percent."
The latest poll still includes predebate interviews. At this point it seems pointless to include polls that don't fully reflect the impact of the debate since it was watershed moment. I would have said the same things about polls that happened before Clinton's 9/11 stumble. I think with the past week this poll is going to be really interesting considering the number of moments that have happened. It's possible that this poll may never settle down again given that major things happened nearly every day in the past week. Even if nothing major happened until the next debate, not likely given at the very least there is the vice presidential debate, by the time the polling fully reflects the taxes reveal we will be at the next Trump-Clinton debate and the roller coaster is off again.
Clinton didn't win the debate, but if she did, is it OK to cheat?
That's a strong opener right there. "Our team totally won - but just in case we actually lost, let me tell you why we really won, anyway. Way to show confidence.

They sure do - they need to sell a horse-race narrative to keep people tuning in.
As much as I like the trend, I hate the actual numbers. Sure, we're now playing Russian roulette with 2 bullets and not 3, but it's still not a comforting thought.

After all that money spent on negative adds against Trump.. Hilllary should be running away.. she isn't. Philadelphia gave Hillary over 8 million dollars and that city is going down badly. Ghettos, drugs a usual liberal city going to waste and the people getting wasted.

And Trump should have never been the Republican nominee - but he is.
There is no 'running away' with elections anymore. Either party could put up a limp clown and half the population would vote for it.
Well, I consider a Trump presidency the equivalent of a bullet to the temple. If Nate Silver's calculations hold, a few weeks back our chances were about half - or, in Russian roulette terms, the cylinder held 3 bullets. The latest Trump drop in polls puts the risk about 1/3 - or - again in Russian roulette terms - 2 bullets. Which is better, but still not that great.

Sorry, I can't take the UPI/CVoter poll seriously. They say in their press release
"Because the poll is conducted online and individuals self-select to participate, a margin of error cannot be calculated."
Self-selected online polls are garbage, IMHO. Same thing with the instant online polls right after the debate.
He had momentum ... until the debate, which he lost. There's nothing like taking Miss Piggy's name in vain to lose the big mo. There's time to turn it back in his favor.
Even with his debate loss, the Real Clear Politics map has him within winning Florida of winning the electoral vote.
