Utter and complete BS for many reasons. For starters lets take NM which always tops these lists. It's a low population state with many federal facilities, Sandia National lab by itself adds $1200 to the per capita federal spending. The primary beneficiary of what they do there is the entire nation.
Yet as another example the state of ND is currently producing a lot of oil, the direct and indirect tax revenue from that is not necessarily attributed to ND.
Florida has many people that move there to retire, not only does that increase federal spending but it's a drain on Florida.
Shall I go on?
Yes, please go on. Not getting your logic at all.
How is it a drain on Florida? The state doesn't pay for SS or Medicare. The retirees create a need for services and many who retire here are very financially secure. Doctors, hospitals and medical workers are employed due to retirees. Restaurants, golf courses frequented by retirees. They pay into the economy. They aren't on state medicaid. Scott has cut that to the bone. What are you talking about?
In fact, your argument is BS. You are saying poorer rural areas are dependent on federal $$ and reinforcing the blue state supports red state theory.
The OP includes the sourcing from the NY Times but Trump supporters tend to not read those sources.
NY Times has been completely discredited. They were 100% wrong about the election, exposed by Wikileaks as colluding with the Clinton Campaign, and have created hit piece after hit piece, against Trump to no effect.
Their revenues in the 3rd Q dropped an whopping 95%.
I'm surprised that any thinking adult still considers them the authority on anything.
Using that amount of electoral voters for each state is fine, but the winner take all aspect of the electoral college is terrible. The Electors of each state should vote proportionally to how their state voted

States have that option but CA or NY would never go that route.
I'm saying the states that have the most people also pay the most and are least represented, resulting in the tyranny of the minority. There are ways around this and we will likely see them over time since Democrats have won six out of the last seven popular votes. Democrats in blue locations earn the most, pay the most and are represented the least. Name the Republican locations Trump has hotels.
constantly repeating a lie never makes it true, it only proves you to be a liar.
Let me explain this one more time, NM which always tops these list by a wide margin does so because they have a small population and many very expensive federal facilities. Sandia National lab by itself adds about $1200 in per capita spending. Sandia develops advanced technology, whether that facility is located in NM, CA, NY or wherever the primary beneficiary for what they do there is still the entire US.
The same thing applies to all these other states where federal spending benefits everyone, attempting to use a single data point for a complex calculation like this is just stupidity.

I presume you have started a letter writing campaign to your State Legislature demanding that they implement proportional electoral voting as soon as possible.
Or, perhaps, you have started circulating petitions telling your legislators to do that?
Oh, you have not done either of those things?
That is truly sad. Don't you know that is how the government of our Constitutional Republic is supposed to work?
rubbish, each state is represented in the electoral college by population. which is why california has 55 electoral votes, where as arizona has only 11. nice try but you, and whomever wrote that tripe failed.
And you know what? No one give's a rat's behind unless you're liberal. The election is over. You lost big time. The recount is over. You lost big time again. Suck it up and stop whining. People like you make all liberals look bad.
