Our country has never, and was never intended to be a "Democracy", so there's no need to respect the "fundamental principles" of something that isn't, and never was. We live in a republic, a federation of states united under one banner but independent unto themselves. Public schools are really doing this country a big disservice by teaching people this big democracy lie.

Default why didn't Democrats complain about the electoral college before the election?

before the election they said Hillary had an easy path to 270 electoral votes and Trump had no chance

THey thought that they had it in the bag.

The popular vote shouldn't represent a thing anyway-considering voter turn out is consistently less than 50% of the voting age total population.

It's a false title.

do a Google search. The electoral college was the reason they were saying Trump couldn't win, saying he had no chance at flipping enough states to get the votes needed to win
