My impression is that the overlords of the establishment party are scripting enough stupid into the so-called “republican” wing’s character lines to prevent any meaningful “wave”, and if they do eke out a “majority” in one or both branches of the legislature later in 2022, and even if they win the presidency in 2024, there will be no meaningful change in direction.

And, yes, the people deserve the goofballs whom they vote for, from both wings of the establishment party, because of money illusion and rejection of doing real work with their own hands.

Good Luck!

lol at all this.

The only way there's not a historically-significant reversal in the House at least, is if R's fail to turn out the vote. We already know in the best of times, key Dem groups (minorities and young voters) don't vote nearly as often.

Your last statement is just wrong, since the GOP didn't win POTUS in '92, Clinton did.
Sorry, can't go back and edit it, meant to write the GOP won seats in the House despite not winning the Presidency in 1992

The "R"s will vote.

The question is how many votes the "D"s can create and negate.

They tried their shenanigans in a county Dem primary in GA already and got caught.

Not like it really matters anyway. The only issues Repubs and Dems disagree on are mostly related to cultural/social issues.

On economics, they both play out of the same handbook of running deficits into the trillions as that is the only thing keeping the economy afloat.

Which brings me to Trump and looking ahead to '24. I'll beat the gong again for - Do NOT primary-in Trump!Do you want to win, Republicans? If so then get the F over Trump. He's just about the only way you can throw away another four years to the democrat termites.
Amen!!!! Having Trump as the nominee is the best chance Democrats have to win in 2024.

Vast majority of Americans are tired of Wokeism. However the emergence of Roe V Wade and gun control will dampen what would've been a massive red tsunami.

At the rate the Democrats are going, there's absolutely a chance. Even CNN did some decent reporting on pulling the data showing how if mid-terms were held right now, Republicans would have a historic win.

Joe Biden has surpassed Trump for lowest approval rating. His own party, the media, and many Democrats are tired of supporting and covering for him. Most leftwing outlets don't even have him listed as a candidate for 2024. Biden's career is coming to an end.

False. Republicans are rebuilding and many of them have strong candidates. Just look at Oz and McCormick and how close that race was. It had everyone talking. Now Oz has the win and is moving on. JD Vance in Ohio crushed it. Many Republicans are doing just fine.

Close race? Walker is on a hot streak, and at the rate Raphael Warnock is going, especially with his ex wife coming out about suing him for child custody because he's a ****ty Father, as well as his domestic abuse. Unlike Walker who actually apologized for his mistakes and still actively works in the community so others never make the same mistake he did, Warnock denies it. Warnock also claims he's a moderate Dem, and his party doesn't want moderates.

True, but many Republicans are doing just fine. Dr Oz is proof of that.

Yeah, it shows the country how fascist your party has become. The people are waking up and are getting sick and tired of this totalitarian mindset the Dems have.

And yet for the last months, it's been shown time and time again that Republicans have a much better shot at crushing the Dems in the mid-terms.

Not as much as the worst inflation in 41 years, $5/gal gas (also a diesel shortage), supply shortages, baby formula shortages, sending billions to Ukraine, being in a proxy war with Russia, how the Dems handled COVID in 2021, and illegals pouring in.

What about it? It's gotten a lot of good press coverage, and all of the clowns trying to deny geo-tracking doesn't work got laughed at and have been dead quiet on it.

Really? A message on making this country great again by tackling inflation, securing our borders, getting back to being energy independent, making sure woke ideology like CRT and other racist trash aren't in our school systems, while your side promotes mutilating children's genitals before being teenagers so they can be one of the 500 new made up genders. Sounds like the poor message is on the left.

Trump is the GOP. His record for candidate endorsements prove it. The man is like 92 -5. He's a lot more likeable than Biden, who's approval rating is lower than Trump's BTW.

Hey, I commend you for trying. Can't wait to come back to this thread in November to laugh and say I told you so.

Now, I'd hope if this has you upset, that you've kept that same energy with Raphael Warnock. You know, your Democratic buddy who also has domestic charges because he ran over his ex-wife's foot with his car? Oh and she's also demanding full custody of their children because he's a lousy Father.

But I'm sure you knew that.

It takes a 2/3 majority to over-ride a veto. Even the most rosy scenario for republicans is not that good.

Fact is, these days neither party can do anything unless they have a 60-vote majority in the Senate. Any less than that, and all your bills are filibustered. And since it's unlikely either party will see that kind of a majority anytime soon, its gridlock from now until the foreseeable future.
