Of course they do.
I've already heard enough that "Ukrainians are true Europeans, while Russians are mongols mixed with Ugro-Finns."
A bunch of idiots as I've already said.

You are simply not familiar with this, since your friends/family are from Eastern Ukraine.

Russians chuckle of course, ( what else do you do, when you deal with idiots?) but the whole Nationalism thing is indeed very real in "free and democratic" Ukraine.

WESTERN Ukraine - not so much.
That's where the worst Jewish pogroms took place, (namely in Lvov,)...
Galacia is a small part of Ukraine. That and the Carpatia wasn't Ukraine for more than a couple years before the Germans rolled in with promises of self-rule. It didn't turn out that way for them, but I can hardly blame an oppressed people for switching sides given the circumstances and I see it no different than Vichy... traitors to some people for sure.

One thing you old soviets (incl Putin) haven't figured out yet is there is a lot of Ukraine not part of Donetsk or Lvov that are still independent of Russia and want no more Russian incursions into their country. We know the game, already blueprints for it in Georgia and Moldova. Russia is not going to win hearts and minds in Ukraine by being the anti-EU.

Those were Russian Empire lands. They are not Russian Federation lands and do not belong to the RF. Neither do the inhabitants there want to be part of Moscow controlled Russian lands. Moscow controlled Russia brings misery, poverty, corruption and no rules of law to lands it possess. No thanks, there is a better way...

Yes, Yes, for this reason, the Ukrainians, for the past year, daily stormed the migration service of Belgorod, hoping to get a residence permit in such a terrible Russia )))

Do you really think that Russia is Moscow? You are very mistaken. Russia was born on the road from the Varangians to the Greeks. Cradle of Russia is Kiev. Russian land is Orthodox land with Russian culture. Moscow is just one of the capitals of Russia on a historical canvas. Not the first and probably not the last.

Ancient Rus, Novgorod Republic, specific principalities of fragmentation, most part of Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Russian Kingdom, Russian Empire, Soviet Union, Russian Federation are Russian states. If you think that Belarus and Ukraine are not Russian states, then turn the Russian lands back and run to the Catholics.

Yeah, thhe alternative is the modern version of Erich Eichmans's Reichkommissariat Ukraine. Complete with Hiwis.

All you have to do is look at the Baltic states and the passively enforced emmigration from those countries. Conditions were so bad that people had no choice but to abandon their homes and flee to other places. How many Poles are scattered throughout Europe, Lithuanians, Latvians and Estonians?

Millions.

They've been forced to leave their countries because of conditions imposed on them from without and not by their own choice either.

Your better way has it's liabilities.

In the sense you define it, those are Russian lands and so is the rest of Ukraine. But you were presenting Kharkiv and Odessa as Russian and not Ukrainian. This is not true. Ukraine is a Russian nation and so is the RF and so is Belarus but that does not mean they are their not their own countries with the right to ally with who they want. It is not 1918 anymore, or 1945 for that matter. Russia seems to want the world to go back to how it used to be, probably because it was part of a greater nation then. Reality is catching up and hopefully sooner than later.

This is nonsense. I don't even know who Erich Eichman is, probably a figment of your wild imagination.

Estonia had more immigrants than emigrants last year. The people living there would much rather stay in Europe than have Moscow rule them again. So would all Eastern European countries, who joined NATO to keep Russia from ravaging them ever again.

This is not an alliance. This is a colony.
