You've just proved my point perfectly! lol Why do you have to act a 'tough guy'? Its pointless! Particularly on a bloody forum! Russia is not a 'big dog', its a big country granted but instead of constantly trying to 'act tough' why doesn't it try actually interacting with the world instead of making itself look foolish all the time?

OK, this is what I hear from the get-go...
About 1:46 the BBC war correspondent Jonathan Beale is talking and ( according to the Russian news, with the voice over he is confirming the shots being fired and the Russian warplane coming.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9_zZCNAdNA

But you can't hear exactly what he is saying in English, so I had to find it on another site;

All Russians ever seem to do is try to act tough, either individually or as a nation, they seem obsessed with war and confrontation, perhaps this is why, despite being a HUGE country, Russia never seems to contribute to the globe in a cultural way? Perhaps its the weather that makes them this way? They NEVER seem to want to hold out a hand in friendship? Every Russian I've ever met has been painfully dificult to talk to, do Russians talk to each other about anything other than guns, tanks and war I wonder?
They are under the control of a criminal organization of thieves, who invent outside threats to keep the masses focused on something else besides the stealing and the lack of democracy. Paranoia is the result of believing the daily lies fed to them through state media.

I encourage you to meet more. You will find normal and nice Russians out there. You just have to find the ones that don't believe in the lies, plenty around here and in the UK.

No-no DKM, the threats are very real - the latest incident with this "Defender" is a good proof of it.
And yes, the warning shots have been fired - now we know.

So now you have two versions of events:

UK: a plane flew close by, some shots were heard fired from somewhere not seen but not at or near the ship so not "warning shots" which are visible by a ship under way. No bomb dropped or anything shot by a plane near the ship or anywhere noticeable. Radio warnings.

Russia: "Russia's Black Sea Fleet and the FSB's border guard service on Wednesday stopped a violation of Russia's state border by the British destroyer"
"It is true that warning shots were fired, and that was enough"
"The use of weapons by Russia in its territory was totally justified from the standpoint of international law. I do hope that after such a punch there will be no more attempts to venture into our territory without permission,"
"A patrol ship fired warning shots and a Sukhoi-24M jet dropped bombs, also in a warning gesture, the Russian Defense Ministry said."

If Russia is telling the truth, it should be on video somewhere right? Not spin, or interpretation of someone's vague comments. If this actually happened the way Russia says so, I'm ready to see it. But it does not exist because they invented this. Maybe the dog ate the digital tape? The UK just showed them who's boss and who can't do anything so Putin demands fake news to prepare false reports to save face. Sad and pathetic but not surprising to me.

In recent years both Russia and Germany have been somewhat distant towards Britain. Between Russia and Britain there is little or no correspondence of any kind at all. Germany when criticized by England simply ignores them, totally. They do have better relations but Germany simply thinks they're a rude person being ignored while trying to disrupt 2 people talking at a party. Britains just like a sexually frustrated incel trying to get noticed. And if it goes too far may just get the wrong kind of attention.

The UK is acting foolish right now, for example, sending its navy in the South China Sea....the empire was over long ago
