^ Funny how far russian politics, also known as "russian bull****" reaches these days. The big question is: how far are they gonna reach? I read somewhere their next presidential candidates are gay, black and porn acctress. Time will tell .
How things are going in the West I wouldn't be surprised if a gay black porn actress were to run somewhere.
Oh and the decimation of the Romanian and Italian divisions at hte opening of operation Uranus and Saturn in the the winter of 1942 '43 had nothing to do with it.
Funny how that action to save the Bulgarian Jews began about the time the truth about Stalingrad became apparent.
The truth about Stalingrad is the Germans were too stubborn to pull out of a worthless city and got cutoff. The war was far from over for Germany until the Americans arrived in Sicily around the time they started daylight bombing and diverting the Luftwaffe from the Ostfront.

The Germans wanted Russia to be cut off from their oil fields around the Caspian sea and take it over for them selves, and also cut off Russia from Iran, Russia was getting supplies from the alias through Iran. Also Stalingrad held the name of Stalin so it was also a big publicity stunt. if Stalingrad fell, then it would be a huge embarrassment and show of Stalin's failure as a leader and moral would fall quickly. that is also why the Russians fought so hard for that city, if it was just called Volgograd the Russian's probably wouldn't have put up such a strong fight.

No, not in the name of business. Read at leisure about Iasi-Kishinev operation and on Sherpensky base. I was there a couple of years ago, worked on the excavation, so .to a depth of two meters of earth and mixed with bodies, weapons, shells and other things, and the Germans and Soviet soldiers mixed so far . The fights were, maybe worse than in Stalingrad.

Yeah, when the Reich has the backbone broke when drove the Germans. But what about the US, faster grabbing "large chunks" of industry, science and so the list goes on.Here is the main catch was ,Yes. And by the way, ask who and how supplied fuel 3 Reich and other vital things to the end of the war. Just ask. it's no secret.

Once again you have no clue what you're speaking of. Grega knows more. Hitler wanted the Caucasus Oil fields to deprive the Russians of fuel. The Soviets produced 3000 T-34 tanks in 1941. That jumped to 12000 through 1942. The Germans knew they had to cut the jugular. All those tanks needed fuel. Germany needed it too. Stalingrad was not worthless, it was vital.
Where the Germans screwed up was underestimating the Red Army. The Wehrmacht impaled itself on its own hubris. They failed to see that the Russian soldiers and command was adapting and learning. When they tried to anchor the north flank in the Voronezh area they didn't take note that while the Red Army was giving ground they were doing it in an orderly manner. They weren't standing fast and fighting to the death anymore and allowing themselves to be surrounded. The same in the area of the Don bend, an orderly retreat, taking their gear with them and avoiding fights they couldn't win. Timoshenko was thrown out of the Don Bend in less than a month but he took EVERY SINGLE heavy gun he had and brought it to the east bank of the Volga. They were waiting for the 6th army when it got to Stalingrad. The Germans paid a terrible price in September for this. Whole companies of Jagers wiped out in minutes in their assembly areas. In one case a regiment was hit with Katyushas. It was destroyed in place, in minutes.
The truth is that about this time the Russians had figured out what they were doing wrong and how to keep alive. Literally. It was nothing but up for them from this point on. Now they were the hunters and the Germans the hunted.
