Huh, you really sure with the way you draw your line ? You just put Switzerland in it because it's "Germanic" ?
Yes and no.
if you'd been to small towns in mid/northern sweden and in switzerland and compare it to experiences in say hungary, poland or croatia I think you'd understand.
Switzerland to me feels a lot more like back home, than the medeterainian countries or eastern europe or balkans when I've visited them

This is exactly what my wife and i said when we were in Härjedalen last year. It had a "Swiss" feeling to it. Not exactly the sight of the country itself, but more like the people, the houses, the "mountain lifestyle" i guess.
Outside these Orange lines is the North and South for sure.
Yes, this does devide north and south gographically,
but in terms of what countries belong to each other, does Britain, Sweden and Denmark belong more with Russia than with Germany?
I mean sure if you ask a russian the entire world belongs under the russian flag but that's a different issue.
From an extreme to another...someone keeps saying that Denmark, Ireland or Lithuania are southern Europe, others put Italy in central Europe with no reason.
Dubious countries are France, Slovenia, Romania (Southern or Central?) and probably Belarus (Central or Northern?)
