Well I do prefer sprints and box jumps. I am the idiot one sees at a park in a 100 degree, Ohio valley humidity, running hill sprints with a parachute or pulling a sled... With a long grey beard
Sorry for the offense. I did have a smile on my face running though. I was listening to Adele and had an 80 pound Pyrenees by my side.
No....I totally was NOT offended.
And running in 100º?! I can hardly run when it's 80º. The problem with MN is that we go straight from winter to summer, with no time to acclimate. But training in the summer makes for some fast fall race times.
I'm training for a half marathon more than 4 months away.
Today I ran the furthest I ever have, an unofficial half marathon. 13.1 miles in 1:50:54 (8:28/mile avg pace). So I guess I had two PR's today - longest run, and fastest half marathon (who cares if it's unofficial).
