Mostly habit for me. I feel guilty if I miss too many workouts. A positive addiction! I like being fit and feeling fit too.

Why do I lead a healthy lifestyle and what motivates me to work out ? Because I used to be obese for far too long and finally have my shape back and then some due to improved diet and rigorous exercise. Because I have health problems that were helped in part by being out of shape and overweight. Because working out makes me feel powerful as well as look good. The cardio has improved my heart health and the strength training has enabled me to retain muscle while losing fat.

It's not easy leading a healthy lifestyle or working out regularly. I only work out in the evenings after work, which means I spend less time with my dear kids. But I've been blessed to have a family that understands why I need regular exercise in my life. As for eating healthy, overall my body just feels better when I eat right. I do regularly feed the monster on "cheat day", but overall I eat pretty decently. Eating garbage on a regular basis makes me feel like garbage.

Because I wanted to get in shape! Been working out with weights mostly for the last year and a half and it's transformed my physique. It's what I wanted. I'm over 50 and in the best condition of my life, I have more energy, changed my diet, and it is fundamental to my daily life. I don't like missing my workouts.

I'm single and have to look good since men are visually focused; exercise makes me feel good and stay healthy.

At 61, I live a healthy lifestyle so I can age in place, be active and healthy in my senior years. I see people at work, half my age, in terrible shape, on oxygen and using walkers.

You see people half your age using walkers? Really?

I just feel good when i am fit. I dont say that everybody should be in gym 4 days a week, but it is a shame for young people when they are full of fat because sitting on couch all day.
