YES. Are the people who dislike the trend going to do anything more than complain in forums? Many people could chide their family members for dressing like that, push their schools and workplaces to enforce dress codes, boycott stores that sell such clothing, warn TV networks that they'll tune out if there if clothing in the programming is too skimpy....

They aren't "flaunting their wares" because their body parts are not for sale. And if less is left to the imagination, it's because you aren't very good at controlling your imagination.

**shrug**

Didn't you already make a thread about this last year??

ETA: Nope, that was this guy. It went about as you might expect:

What is skimpy about a pair of stretchy, knit pants?

I'm not falling for that. A better example would be the short shorts trend. Many people would say there's a problem, but where are the solutions?

Didn't the OP specifically reference yoga pants (v "short shorts") in the original post?

Leggings under a tunic was a thing back around the late 80's/early 90's. So you've seen it before. Not sure why it's bothering you now. Leggings or yoga pants actually is pretty covered-up compared to super low-rise jeans, low-cut sleeveless tops, booty shorts, etc.

Not sure why you're having a problem with this, OP. Are you married or in a relationship? If not, find a spry, attractive woman near your age to take your mind off this silliness. You sound like a cranky old man. At 50-ish, you're too young for that, yet.

Yeah, not getting what's skimpy about leggings. Do they have the butt cheeks cut out or something?

Actually, I think this is probably right. If an ugly woman wears cleavage-baring tops and tight yoga pants, she will get far more comments on the street than a pretty woman wearing homely, shapeless clothes.

Seriously?? People make questionable fashion decisions all the time, but you are bestowed with the inalienable right to look away. We're not all going to don burqas to put the fuddiest of the fuddyduddies at ease.
