My mom had made summer borscht Summer Borscht | BigOven and brought over some of that and her homemade buns. It made a nice change from me trying to think up a meal.

It's hubby's b-day!

He will have a ribeye and I will have the Shrimp Mojo de Ajo or the Green Chili Lasagna.

There She goes again, making me hungry and making me drool. You have been warned but no , you just will not listen !!

Next time I shall expect to see boiled tripe and treacle pudding on your menu ( my idea of hell). Or no more Mrs Nice Lady for you Debsi. Consider this an ultimatum !

Happy Birthday to Hubby though !

THe heatwave you have had makes me realise that you Americans are made of sterner stuff. Dry heat is OK but the humidity makes everything unbearable IMO.

I always find myself a lot less interested in eating and cooking in summer.

Salads or seafood is pretty much all I crave at the moment and chilled soups.

And it's really not that hot here either. I feel sorry for the Pups though , it must be hard being covered in a natural fur coat and when you can't sweat through pores like humans. Do you find they too go off their food at all ?
