The potatoes are in the soup cooking for a total of 19 minutes. Is that enough time to get from raw to cooked?

Seems like 19 is a lot....usually if I put potatoes in soup I simmer about 10. Maybe I cut them smaller.

Charley I have been looking for that recipe now for about 4 years. Good soup for company with the holidays coming.

I'm making cube steak tonight--just quick fried with a bit of Worcestershire sauce splashed on it with S&P. Probably some mashed potatoes with gravy, fresh Zucchini and sliced tomatoes. I need to make something very simple..my mind is not working well today. I feel like a zombie. Just talked to my grandsons daddy, my SIL, Ambers hubby and he said the baby is doing better but it's going to be pretty sore.
