That sounds like a cold climate drink....I doubt you are allowed them down there in the land of sunshine and oranges! You're limited to "sex on a beach", "fuzzy navels" and mimosas.

Happy 2009 Everyone!

Last night hubby, dog, & I shared jumbo shrimp cocktail, pickled herring, garlic dried summer sausage, crackers, lentil soup & smoked salmon dip.

Tonight's dinner will be broiled Maine Lobster tails, in drawn better, baked potato and steamed brussel sprouts.

My Southern gf just stopped by with hm cornbread, black eyed peas, cabbage, pork, collards and hm cheesecake with cherries on top. So I would say we are save here in the food department.

The first day of the NY, I put my wash in my 4 yr. old dryer, pressed the button in, dryer started, took my finger off the button, dryer stopped.
Of course, the 4 year warranty expired last week.

Have a wonderful New Year Everyone.

aiangel that is a nice way to start the new year not cooking but not when you are sick and unable to do it. Feel better soon.

Truly I use to make stuffed pork chops all the time before kids now I can't remember all that I put into them. I know at times I put stuffing like Stove Top but made it myself, other times half sauted mushroom & onions then would brown them before putting them in the oven. I made a mushroom gravy a few times to pour over them as they baked that was quite good too.

NMS you will have to tell me what a Tom and Jerry party is please. Gee whiz I didn't think I lead such a sheltered life until this thread of so many "unknowns" to me.

southdown I am going to being living through your adventures for the time being if you don't mind. We don't have big city things like that around me to go and enjoy but it would be quite chilly doing them in this winter weather here. Your trip to NY is going to be fun to hear updates as you travel.

LOL...I'm too old for sex on the beach....my navel's been fuzzy for quite a while now, but I'll take one of those mimosas! Don't tell anybody about the party, ok? Wouldn't want the hot climate drink police raiding us!

elston I recall drinking a lot of slow screws & long island iced teas when I lived in FL!

kelsie you do seem to have 2 region's traditions covered.

daytripper one of you start a forum board to keep up with everybody across the lands. That is what we did for grown nieces and nephews that started moving out of state.

skbs if I went to the place you did I would try:

Quote:
Shrimp Pad Puk (Mixed Vegetables)
Stir fried mixture of onion, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, snow peas, mushroom, baby corn, bell pepper, carrot and bean sprout in light soy sauce. With Jasmine rice after trying that Shrimp in a basket for an app.
I know Thai food is hotter than Chinese we are use to eating so I would be mindful of that when ordering.
